Omega Morgan acquires Omega Riggers

Omega Morgan expands its Seattle, WA presence through the acquisition of Omega Riggers.

Omega Morgan, a provider of heavy rigging, machinery moving, and specialized industrial services, has acquired Omega Riggers, a Seattle-based machinery moving and rigging company. As part of the transaction, Omega Riggers will operate as Omega Morgan, bringing the two organizations together under one name. Terms of the deal were not revealed.

The acquisition will alleivate confusion in the market and strengthen capabilities.

The acquisition brings together two companies that have worked in the same market and were often mistaken for one another, according to Omega Morgan. Leadership from both organizations said the move is intended to eliminate market confusion while strengthening capabilities for employees and clients.

“This is something we’ve talked about over several years,” said Wes Cotter, owner of Omega Riggers. “We’ve grown significantly over the last few years, and this felt like the right time to take the next step. The fit was right, the culture matched, and the timing made sense.”

Wes will remain with the company and continue working closely with customers and teams throughout the transition.

“This decision was important to me because of our people,” he said. “I treat my team like family, and I wasn’t going to do anything that put that at risk.”

Employees will continue in their current roles, with existing contracts and compensation remaining in place. The transition is focused on growth and added support rather than cost reductions.

For clients, the acquisition maintains continuity while expanding resources behind the work. As part of Omega Morgan, the combined team will have access to additional engineering and planning support, a broader equipment base, crane services, and turnkey project delivery capabilities.

“Customers will continue working with the same people they know,” Wes said. “What changes is the level of support behind the scenes.”

Omega Morgan CEO Dick Ferchak said the acquisition strengthens the company’s ability to serve the Seattle and Puget Sound market while preserving local relationships.

“Seattle is a complex, demanding market, and Omega Riggers has built a strong reputation here,” Ferchak said. “By bringing our teams together, we’re adding depth and support behind that local expertise—more resources, more capability, and more long-term stability for customers and employees in the region.”

Omega Morgan’s expanded presence in Seattle also positions the company to better support customers with multi-location or regional needs, while maintaining a local, relationship-driven approach.
