Netherlands-based rental firm Peinemann Holding has sold its Dutch forklift dealer Crepa Group to UniCarriers Europe.

Crepa Group, which is a distributor for Catlift, operates a sales network across Belgium and Holland.

UniCarriers Europe, the regional subsidiary of Tokyo-based UniCarriers Corp, has specialized in the sale of used warehouse forklift products. With the acquisition of Crepa, which specialises in outdoor forklift products, UniCarriers Europe hopes to strengthen its market share in the Holland and Belgium markets.

“The takeover of Crepa is very important for our strategy on the European market", said Keiji Ikeda, president of UniCarriers Europe, "In the coming months, we want to continually expand our network of distributors and dealers both in Germany and across Europe through further acquisitions”.

Expansion plans for Crepa Group include increased distribution networks and a diversification into warehouse trucks and counterbalance trucks.

Crepa Group will operate as an independent company under the UniCarriers umbrella. Its management and 175 employees will remain with the company.

Peinemann is best known in the Benelux region as a renter of cranes and aerial platforms.
