Dirk Engels, Dipl.-Ing., BBA, has been appointed as the new managing director of the Wumag Elevant Group. He succeeds Ludger Greskoetter, Dipl.-Volksw., who leaves the company at end of his employment contract. Previously Mr Engels held an executive position in development, production and management at a well-known sensor technology manufacturer.

Martin Davies has returned to the powered access industry to represent US manufacturer MEC Aerial Platforms in the UK and Ireland. Mr Davies left Skyjack, where he was sales director for Europe, two years ago to concentrate on his commercial photography business, but the lure of the access industry has proven too strong. He said he would focus on the scissor lifts and the recently launched self-propelled boom before considering bringing over MEC's telehandlers.

Kevin O'Shea, of US based, Mastclimbers LLC, was elected chairman of the IPAF Mast Climbing Work Platforms (International) Committee at the last meeting, held during ConExpo in Las Vegas. Romina Vanzi of IPAF-España continues her role as committee convenor.

Howard Wilkinson is the new director of distribution and logistics – Europe, Middle East & Africa Region (EAMER) at Terex Aerial Work Platforms. Mr Wilkinson will oversee the operations and logistics at the distribution centres in the UK, France, Spain, Germany, Sweden and parts operations.
