Julian Gammage has joined the UK's Pyeroy Group as the director for its Industrial Services Division. Mr Gammage has more than 43 years' experience in the industrial services sector, and he was just previously with competitor Cape plc in the UK.

Pyeroy said it has targeted new sectors for growth, and Mr Gammage will lead the division's efforts in the power generation and in the oil and gas, chemical, pharmaceutical, and other manufacturing industires.

Mr Gammage said, "The chance to join a company with fantastic growth potential and to help make it a major player in the burgeoning industrial services market was a challenge I couldn't resist."

Hugh Pelham, manager director of Pyeroy, said, "I'm delighted to welcome Julian on board. I'm sure he'll be major asset to the business as we look to continue our strong growth.

"His broad experience and extensive expertise will be invaluable while also adding to our reputation for providing customers with the highest standards of service and quality."

Pyeroy, based in Gateshead, provides contract scaffolding and equipment rental, surface preparation, application of protective coatings, insulation, civil engineering/building works and specialist environmental management services.
