Ramirent and Veidekke renew Norway tie-up

01 October 2014

Ramirent's Norwegian business has signed a three-year nationwide agreement in Norway with Scandinavian contractor Veidekke. The value of the deal was not disclosed.

Ramirent and Veidekke have been working together in Norway for many years. In 2007 they signed a three to five year rental agreement for the supply of up to 80% of Veidekke's equipment needs.

”The new agreement is a simplification and improvement of our previous agreement structure", said Ole Jakob Nes, sourcing manager of Veidekke Entreprenør. "We have been cooperating for a long period and during this time we have become acquainted with one another’s strengths and weaknesses. Our new agreement will make way for improved communication and cooperation between both companies.”

The agreement includes light and heavy machinery to ortable accommodation and hoists, which will be used to assist Veidekke’s ongoing projects throughout Norway.

”Veidekke is a large and demanding customer that sets high requirements in all that we do, from health and safety matters, to sourcing and project management, all the way to integrated solutions", said Gunstein Lauvrak, southeast regional director, Ramirent Norway.

"We are proud to have Veidekke as our customer and we look forward to solve both small and large projects together also in the future."
