UK construction equipment exhibition Hillhead saw a record attendance at this year’s edition, reaching nearly 20,000.

Hillhead-2018

Hillhead took place at Hillhead Quarry, in Derbyshire

The three-day show took place from 26-28 June at Tarmac’s Hillhead Quarry, in Derbyshire, and its attendance surpassed the previous record set in 2005, with 19,687 present.

It was also the show’s most international showing as visitors from 88 countries contributed to a 28% show-on-show increase in overseas attendees. There were 527 more exhibitors than ever at this year’s show, too, with many occupying the newly-created space in the enlarged registration pavilion.

Richard Bradbury, exhibition director, said, “I’m delighted that Hillhead is still setting attendance records 36 years after it was launched and would like to thank all of our exhibitors and visitors for making it our most successful edition yet.”

The next Hillhead show will take place in late June 2020.
