Samson acquires Corderie Henri Lancelin

Samson is a pioneer of synthetic fibre hoist ropes for cranes

Rope company Samson in the USA has acquired French rope company Corderie Henri Lancelin.

The deal between Washington-based Samson and Ernée-based Lancelin was for an undisclosed sum.

Lancelin is a fourth-generation family company started in 1907. It is known as an innovator, especially in the field of maritime ropes. It has a testing facility with a machine capable of breaking ropes with a strength of up to 600 tonnes.

Samson is a developer and manufacturer of high-performance ropes and has been going for more than 145 years. Last year it acquired Folch Ropes in Barcelona, Spain. It has two facilities in the USA, in Washington State and Louisiana.
