UK rental company Sandhurst Equipment Rental has invested UK£1 million in access equipment following deals struck at Vertikal Days, and plans to double its fleet in the next 12 months.

The orders went to Skyjack, Haulotte and Niftylift for vertical masts, telescopic booms, articulated booms and electric and diesel scissors. They included HR12 Niftylift bio energy and Skyjack articulated booms supplied respectively with SIOPS and Safety zone devices.

Since introducing access equipment in 2012 at its Rochester headquarters, Sandhurst has now integrated the products into its rental centres in the South West, Midlands, North West and North East regions.

Operations director, Steven Sutch, said, “We are delighted with the progress and growth we have achieved in the short time Sandhurst has been specialising in access equipment.

“This latest round of orders alleviates our very high utilisation and demand from our rental centres. The orders have been placed with suppliers who provide Sandhurst with quality products and excellent after sales support. Sandhurst will extend coverage and double its fleet within the next 12 months.”
