As Mozambique prepares to develop a liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility on the Afungi Peninsula, it is positioning itself to become the third-largest natural gas exporter in the world, after Qatar and Australia.

As part of this greater initiative, Sarens crew and equipment were called in to support the development of the Early Beach Landing (EBL) site at the Afungi facility, located in the northern region of the country. The EBL is one of several projects underway in preparation for the completion of the liquefied natural gas plant.

To support this aspect of the operation, Sarens used the Terex RT 1120 rough terrain crane to assist in offloading a pontoon alongside the EBL and launching the crew tender from cradles located in the water. We are honoured to have been a part of this ambitious project and would like to thank our client for collaborating with us on this meaningful operation.
