Sarens-Wilbert joint venture

Wilbert Sarens Vermietung (WSV) is a new joint venture company to supply and operate super heavy tower cranes.

The 50:50 joint venture is between Belgium-based international heavy lift and transport specialist Sarens and tower crane manufacturer and rental company Wilbert, besed in Germany. It applies to heavy tower cranes rated at more than 1,000 tonne-metres.

The WSV fleet comprises nine Wilbert WT 2405 L luffing jib tower cranes and four Wolff WK 60140 B luffers. The range of self climbing towers is from 1,500 up to 2,400 tonne-metres with jibs up to 78 m plus a 5 m runner.

The concept is to offer a complete lifting solution from a mix of equipment. Benefits for the customer include time savings and greater efficiency, Sarens said. It will create added value and safety will be improved, for example, by being able to supply appropriate operators as part of the package.

On offer will be a mix of crawler, wheeled mobile and other types of crane and alternative lifting equipment and specialized transport for use in conjunction with tower cranes that are the strongest of their type in Europe, Sarens said. It is a combination that allows WSV to offer good technical solutions, Sarens said.
