The first 750 tonne capacity Liebherr LTM 1750-9.1 telescopic wheeled mobile crane has gone to Schot Verticaal Transport in Alkmaar, the Netherlands.

Key features of this all terrain crane on a nine axle carrier include a telescopic boom that can remain attached during transport. The crane can also assemble itself, meaning there’s no need for an auxiliary crane in basic configuration, Schot said.

For the movement of the crane parts and counterweight Schot has acquired an 8-axle Nooteboom MCO-PX semi-lowloader. The LTM 1750-9.1 will be escorted by that and a 6-axle semi-lowloader.

Getting the LTM 1750-9.1 fully rigged, including auxiliary jib and fully ballasted, takes nine truck loads, Schot said.
