Rickberg will assume the office and join Skanska’s leadership team no later than 31 January, 2025, the company said.

Currently, Rickberg serves as CFO and executive vice president of the Swedish Scania Group, a manufacturer of commercial vehicles. Prior to joining Scania, Rickberg worked at Volvo Cars.

“Jonas brings a wealth of experience in strategic finance, business control and operational leadership, having served in diverse roles across various geographies,” said Skanska.

Rickberg holds a Bachelor in Medical Science from the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and a Master of Business Administration from the School of Economics in Gothenburg.

He said of the appointment, “Together, we will leverage the solid financial foundation, achieve long-term growth, and keep pushing the boundaries of innovation and sustainability in the industry.”

Rickberg will officially replace former group CFO Magnus Persson, who left the company in April. Pontus Winqvist, Skanska’s senior vice president of group corporate finance and control, is serving as acting CFO until Rickberg assumes the office.
