A typical ZenRobotics Recycler system

ZenRobotics has announced that Finnish recycler Lassila & Tikanoja (L&T) is to install a ZenRobotics Recycler system at its flagship recycling facility in Kerava, which is 30 km (19 miles) from the Finnish capital of Helsinki. The system will be installed in the existing construction and demolition waste sorting process on the site.

L&T vice president environmental sales Petri Salermo said of the deal: “"L&T is constantly discovering new ways which drive the recycling of raw materials. The ZenRobotics Recycler installation will increase the recycling rate of the mixed construction and demolition waste, and the amount of material that needs to be landfilled is reduced. Even before the introduction of ZenRobotics Recycler, the materials recycling rate at our Kerava facility approaches 90 per cent."

"Further, moving from manual waste sorting to a robotic process improves the occupational safety and the overall working conditions at our facility", continued Petri.
