Snorkel Australia creates new boom from existing products
By Maria Hadlow26 May 2009
Snorkel Australia has launched a compact, heavy duty trailer with an articulated boom, which is a hybrid of the UpRight AB38 boom and the Snorkel MHP trailer chassis.
The resulting, MHP14AT, is a highly manoeuvrable trailer mounted platform, with a compact footprint and short towing length. It offers a maximum working height of 13.5m, 6.4 m outreach and an all-steel platform which can lift 215 kg.
The MH14AT is 4.7 m long and weighs 1460 kg, it is easy to tow and its outrigger footprint is only 3.6 m wide.
Built in Snorkel's plant in Levin, New Zealand, the MHP14AT will initially be available in the Asia-Pacific region, but UpRight is interested in customer feedback on its potential as an UpRight product, to complement the TL series of articulating trailers.
