Snorkel launches new products and seeks Asian distributors

Aerial platform manufacturer Snorkel uses bauma China to give Asian launches to two recently introduced models and will also show enhancements to two existing platforms. The company is also looking to identify new distributors in "key territories" in Asia.
It will also be the first major Asian exhibition attended by the UK's Tanfield Group since its unified its UpRight Powered Access and Snorkel brands to the single Snorkel name.
The Snorkel T46JRT, the first in Snorkel's new T-series of telescopic boom lifts, makes its Asian debut at bauma China. This is a 16 m telescopic boom with a 2 m jib and maximum outreach of 12.2 m, with less than 0.9m tail swing. The T46JRT replaces the Snorkel TB47 and the UpRight SB47 JRT boom lifts.
Snorkel is launching further articulating and telescopic boom lifts on the same chassis, during 2011.
Also being shown in Asia for the first time is the Snorkel S1930E all-electric scissor lift. The Snorkel S1930E and S1932E models are replacing the old Snorkel S1930 and UpRight MX19 units, and deliver a working height of up to 7.8m and a platform capacity of 227kg. The S1930E is the first in the new Snorkel S series of all-electric scissor lifts, with 10 m and 11.8 m working heights versions to be launched in 2011.
Snorkel will also showcase enhanced versions of two existing products. The Snorkel PAM26 push-around mast lift now has an improved outrigger interlock system and stronger mast stability. The SPM20 self-propelled mast lift also has the new improved mast design and has a sleeker, curved cover.
At the same time as showing the new and improved products, Snorkel said it will use the show to look for new distributors in the Asia region.
