Beacons and sounders manufacturer E2S has developed the General Purpose Horn (GPH), which, it says, is a reliable, long-lived electronic alternative to electromechanical warning devices.

The electronic circuitry and matching piezo driver combine to produce a sound that mimics the traditional design and makes it ideal for use in areas with high ambient noise, according to the company.

“In addition to the conventional pulsing output, the GPH generates two alternative warning tones, giving the installer or machine builder much greater flexibility in providing an effective warning signal,” E2S added.

The GPH operates from a 24 V DC, 115 or 230 V AC supply, is continuously rated and is designed to offer long operational life as there are no moving parts, diaphragms or contacts to wear out.
