Speedy makes €3.4m investment in Skyjacks

UK rental company Speedy has added 100 new boom and scissor lifts to its UK fleet.

The purchase by the company’s recently formed Speedy Powered Access division, includes Skyjack articulated and telescopic boom lifts such as the diesel-powered all-terrain SJ46AJ and SJ66T, and the all-electric SJ30ARJE, which have a working heights of 15.93m, 22.12m & 10.82m respectively.

It also includes Skyjack SJ6826 & SJ6832 rough terrain scissor lifts, with a working height range from 9.75m to 11.58m, along with four-wheel drive and up to 50% gradeability for use on all terrains.

Speedy Powered Access, formed in November 2020 following the merger of Speedy’s acquired powered access firms Lifterz, Platform Sales & Hire and Prolift, has made a number of equipment purchases recently, including new Dingli electric scissor lifts and 50 Niftylift hybrid boom units.

The latest Skyjack models are part of an ongoing strategy “to build a comprehensive range of powered access solutions available to contractors UK wide,” said Speedy Powered Access Managing Director Andy Briggs.

“Our continued fleet investment ensures that we have a core range of machines to meet all types of project requirements, from indoor installation and maintenance to construction. Our continued focus on investment in electric and hybrid assets where possible is also helping contractors to access sustainable equipment that can help them to meet clients’ emissions targets.”
