UK-based Star Platforms has entered the truck mount hire market with the delivery of the new CTE Zed 21.2 JH.

The 20.7 m working height machine with 10 m outreach is useful for applications that need a compact chassis - less than 3 m - and where there is a need to be on and off the work site quickly, said the company. The Zed 21.2JH now also has an increased capacity of 300kg.

Star Platforms joint managing director Richard Miller said, “As we continue to grow our customer base, we receive a greater number of requests for specialist equipment, including truck mounted platforms like this.

“This purchase reflects that demand and, as members of the Access Alliance, we can also offer our customers a broader range of other truck mounted platform hire options, all the way up to 112 metres."

The investment follows the expansion of the Star Platforms access hire network, with the company’s first depot, in Luton, Bedfordshire, followed this year by new access hire depots in Kent and the Midlands.
