Stretching the limits

Force measurement specialist Magtrol SA, in Switzerland, has launched a new range of load limiters.

The cable tension sensor of the type SK-02, based on strain gauge technology, is designed for speedy installation without mechanical modification of the existing installation.

The stainless steel sensor is suitable for cables in the 8 to 22 mm diameter range and is connected to an amplifier type LMU.

Also available in the range is the traction sensor type ZL-03 to measure suspended loads.

Designed for a wide range of applications, the sensor can also handle challenging environments. “In several versions from 10 to 100 kN, this transducer offers, moreover, a large overload capacity, an excellent long-term stability as well as high precision,” added Magtrol.
