UK Terex-Fuchs dealer Blue Group delivered its largest order to date when 12 new wheeled waste handlers were supplied to material handling specialist John Hanlon Ltd to replace existing units and also expand the company’s fleet. Based in Campton, Bedfordshire, Hanlon operates some 200 units on waste handling contracts throughout the UK.

The 19 tonne MHL320D offers working reaches of up to 14.5 m (47.6 ft) with an industrial stick and 9.2 m (30.2 ft) with a multipurpose configuration, with the 22 tonne MHL331D providing reaches of 12 m (39.4 ft) and 10.7 m (35.1 ft) respectively. Fuchs’ multi-purpose configuration is ideally suited to working with selector grabs, says the company, and provides the machines with the necessary versatility in the material handling sector.

Both machines are powered by Deutz diesel engines, with the 320 featuring a 4 litre unit delivering 85 kW (114 hp) while the 331 is fitted with an six litre delivering 114 kW (153 hp). Both models are fitted with hydraulically raising cabs and feature four point stabilisers to make them very stable in use. Their centrally mounted slew ring allows both models to work at full capacity at any radius.
