As a spiritual home of the rough terrain crane, the USA is a natural choice to display the new Terex TRT 100US.

The new 100 US ton at 7.5 feet radius (90 tonnes at 2.29 metres radius) capacity RT is on show at the ConExpo show in Las Vegas, 14 to 18 March.

The new Italian built RT has a 154 foot (47 metre) boom giving a maximum tip height of 162 feet (49 metres). Maximum tip height with jib is 217 feet (66 metres). The five section boom offers three telescoping modes.

New TEOS technology

Also new is its TEOS Terex Operating System. It has a 10 inch (254 mm) touch screen with new improved user interface. The responsiveness of the electro proportional joysticks can be adjusted to suit the operator’s preference. It has an extra wide cabin which can be tilted.

Power is from a six cylinder Cummins QSB6.7 Tier 4 Final / Stage V diesel engine producing 225 hp. An anti-stall control function allows the engine to run at the lowest speed for the required demand without stalling, thereby minimising the use of fuel.
