There are less than 48 hours for demolition contractors to get their entries in for the nine categories in the 2013 World Demolition Awards that are open to them.

The closing date is midnight, Friday 26th July, and no submissions will be accepted after that. Competition is sure to be fierce, as it has been in the four years since the Awards were first held in the Okura Hotel in Amsterdam.

The awards are intended to recognise the best the global demolition industry has to offer by recognising the skills and expertise displayed by contractors during challenging and demanding demolition projects. In addition, commitments to safety, training and the environment through the development of internal management policies are also highlighted.

The Awards form part of the World Demolition Summit, with a top level one-day conference the other key component of this event. Once again being held in the Krasnapolski Hotel in Amsterdam, this year's event will take place on Thursday 31 October. For further information, visit www.demoilitionsummit.com.
