Top 10 lifters

08 May 2008

Maxim Crane Works has maintained its position as the world's biggest crane owner, according to a recent survey carried out by IC's sister publication International Cranes & Specialized Transport.

The magazine's IC50 listing ranks the top 85 crane owning companies according to their IC Index – calculated by adding together the maximum lifting capacities in metric tonnes of the cranes in a company's fleet.

The Netherlands' Mammoet and US based All Erection & Crane Rental took second and third place in the rankings. But the highest ever new entry was the previously unranked Hovago Cranes which took tenth place.
