Marchetti has added a crawler crane to its already established product line up of all terrain, truck mounted and city class mobile cranes.

The Italian manufacturer's new telescopic boom MTK 1004 C has a lifting capacity of 65 tonnes at a radius of 3 m (on outriggers), and 35 tonnes at the same radius when working without outriggers.

The superstructure is based on the design of the company's MTK 1004, which is mounted on a commercial truck chassis. With outriggers retracted the crane has a total width of 8 ft (2.5 m). The outriggers have a hydraulic levelling system to allow the crane to operate on rough terrain. Power is provided by a 169 kW Iveco NEF series engine.

Export manager Marcello Maestri, said that Marchetti has already received interest from potential customers, and plans to demonstrate the crane to a number of crane rental companies and contractors around Europe.
