Transformer transported across India

Express Global Logistics (EXG), member of the Worldwide Project Consortium (WWPC) in India, transported a 45 tonne transformer, 97 oil barrels and a nitrogen injection fire protection system 1,800 kilometres from Karjan, Gujarat to the Tyada station in Andhra Pradesh.
The transformer was 4.8 metres long, 2.6 metres wide and 3.4 metres high, and was transported on 6 axles.
The final 25 kilometres was the most restricted and complicated part of the journey due to the ghats (mountain regions).
The main unit was halted at this stage for 3 days whilst accessories arrived and were offloaded to help facilitate rail movement through a 3.5 metre narrow approach road.
Multiple railways were shut down to load and unload the cargo
The entire cargo was manually offloaded from the axles, trucks and trailers and a 40 metre dragging operation was put into place.
The cargo was then loaded onto a ramp, and then a wagon to its final destination.
