Measurement Systems International has updated the standard construction of its MSI-4300 Porta-Weigh Plus electronic crane scale.

The new MSI-4300 has a rechargeable 12 V, sealed lead acid battery that, the manufacturer claims, provides up to 300 hours of operation between charges. The six-digit, 40 mm high alphanumeric liquid crystal display with LED backlighting is designed to be readable from a distance. Digital calibration and self-diagnostic circuitry are used to give simple maintenance.

The scale is available in nine standard capacities from 226.8 to 45359 kg. Additional features are also available, including NTEP approved versions and an infrared full-function remote controller.
