Volvo is introducing the F-Series L45F and L50F mid-sized wheel loaders to the European market next month with plans to expand the range internationally in 2009.

The new Stage IIIA (Tier 3) certified models feature a patented Torque Parallel (TP) loader linkage, separate working hydraulic pumps for maximum power, 100% axle differential locks, the Volvo Care Cab and long service intervals, the company said.

According to Volvo the Torque Parallel linkage gives both models smooth, parallel lift, high tilt-back torque and good lifting power - right through the lift range.

The company added the L45F and L50F's linkage provides class-leading pallet visibility, along with a clear view of attachments.

The new wheel loaders also feature separate power steering and load-sensing hydraulic pumps. According to Volvo the advantage of this is that separate pumps ensure full steering power is achieved, regardless of the load on the main hydraulic pumps.

Oil flow on the load-sensing pump automatically adjusts to meet the demands of the work. The result is lower fuel consumption during lighter work - along with no compromise in performance when operating in tough conditions or demanding applications.

The company has integrated the Volvo Care Cab into the L45F and L50F in recognition of the importance that operator comfort has to play in achieving high machine productivity.

Each cab is based on fully viscous mounts for reduced noise and vibration and operators can breathe easily when operating in dusty conditions due to a cab filtration system.

The ergonomic interior of the cab ensures that the steering wheel, steering column, seat, armrest and levers can all be adjusted to suit each operator.

Controls and front-pillar mounted switches are all within easy reach and easy view, the company stated.
