UK rental company Vp plc has acquired Jackson Mechanical Services (UK) Limited (JMS M&E) in a deal worth £3.6 million (€4.20 million).

JMS M&E is a mechanical and electrical equipment rental company with locations in Harpenden and Leeds, UK. The locations will be integrated into Hire Station – Vp’s specialist tool hire business.

Hire Station provides tool hire, safety equipment, low level access and press fitting equipment to industry, construction and other sectors in the UK.

Commenting on the acquisition, Jeremy Pilkington, chairman of Vp plc, said, “We are very pleased to welcome the JMS M&E team to the Vp Group.

“This acquisition will provide additional strength to our successful Hire Station specialist businesses.”

Vp has also said that, since its interim results announcement of 29 November last year, it had experienced positive trading conditions and had made good progress.

It said it expected to deliver full-year results in line with current market expectations for the fiscal year, ending 31 March, 2017.
