Mr Bushnell, who will be 60 this year, told AI that the move had been planned for the last 12 months and that the timing was right; “The merger with Terex has gone very well, with Genie and other Terex companies blending together.

And we have a well established international group at Genie, so it's a good time to leave.”

Genie's international sales operations will be split between three senior managers: Jacques Catinot, vice president for Europe and the Middle East; Jim Barr, sales and operations manager for Asia Pacific; and Steve Matuschak, international operations manager and Latin America sales manager based at Genie's Redmond headquarters. All three will report directly to Genie president Bob Wilkerson.
