German rental company Wemo-Tec GmbH has implemented a Sycor enterprise resource platform (ERP) for its aerial platform rental business in its domseticf market.

The ERP software, a Microsoft Dynamics AX solution developed by Sycor.Rental, replaces existing legacy systems and is being used to manage the rental of 350 aerial work platforms.

According to Joachim Niessner, managing director of Wemo-Tec, there are plans to integrate the ERP with the company's workshop and to link it to Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.

Further expansion will see the system rolled out internationally, for use in Wemo-Tec's subsidiaries in Italy, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Poland and the UK.

WEMO-tec also has plans for further projects: by integrating mobile devices with its ERP solution, the company wants to simplify the process of delivering and receiving returns of rental equipment.
