The truck–mounted platform will be shown by its new owner, German rental company Eisele, alongside the 105 m high tower at the Ramada Plaza Hotel conference site. (Pictured is a scale model of the platform, built by one of Wumag's employees.

The five–axle machine made its official debut at Wumag's ‘World Premiere’ event at Krefeld, Germany on 7 September.

“The 103 m platform will be a spectacular sight,” said Tim Whiteman, managing director of IPAF, which is co–organising the Europlatform event with Access lnternational. “It will complement the excellent panel of speakers that we have lined up for Europlatform.”

A last minute change to the programme saw Kevin Appleton, Lavendon's chief executive, replace Martin Mijnlieff, CEO of Lavendon Germany.

The event is being sponsored by several manufacturers. Haulotte Group is the event's lead sponsor; JLG and Skyjack are also sponsoring the conference; and Genie Industries is sponsoring the evening reception the day before the conference and also the lunch on the day.
