ISO 9001:2015 is a standard developed by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) that sets out the requirements for a quality management system. The standard is based on the following seven principles: customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision making and relationship management.

Bruce Kopf, director of quality at XL Specialized Trailers, was seeking a way to illustrate the quality and consistency of the trailer products that XL builds, the company said.

“We wanted a way to show people we are capable and consistent with what we are building and providing to them,” said Kopf.

XL was audited by Eagle Certification Group through an onsite evaluation of the efficacy of their processes and systems.
