XSPlatforms' new RAP anchor point

Netherlands-based XSPlatforms has introduced a new anchor point - the RAP (Rotating Anchor Point or Rope Access Point) for use on horizontal lifelines.

The new Class-A anchor can be used to create an additional anchor point on an existing XSPlatforms anchor point or horizontal lifeline. The RAP can rotate 360° around its axis and can click up or down to a 30° angle. It can also be used on many types of roofs in a variety of situations.

The safety equipment manufacturer developed the RAP to be able to expand anchor points and horizontal lifelines, therefore enabling users to carry out rope access activities such as rescue operations without affecting the safety of other anchor points. The RAP can also be used as a positioning or fall protection point.

The RAP has been developed to ANSI and OSHA safety standards.
