UK rental company Hewden has appointed Aaron Barden as its new sales director.

Mr Barden has 12 years experience of the construction industry and is a former sales director of Brandon Hire and operations director of the National Federation of Builders. He has also worked for Anglo American and Bunzl.

He will work with the company's 70-strong sales force as well as its internal product specialists.

In addition to Mr Barden's appointment, Hewden has taken on a further nine graduates for its national account sales executive (NASE) scheme. The graduates will join the team providing local support to Hewden's biggest customers.

Mr Barden said; "Hewden already holds preferred supplier status with many top-ranking contractors and, to maintain this consistently high level of service, we are continuing to invest in our NASE team to support our national accounts sales managers; helping to develop relationships with local site managers and acting as the first point of contact for equipment requirements.

"I will also be working closely with our internal and external sales teams to ensure that we continue to deliver the breadth and quality of product our customers have come to expect, combined with simple processes that make Hewden safe, efficient and easy to trade with."
