Manitou is launching its 5.5 tonne capacity MRT3255 rotating telehandler at the JDL Days of Lifting show in Marseille, France.

The manufacturer is also showing the 9.9 tonne capacity MHT 1490, with a 14 m reach, for the first time in Europe at the exhibition, taking place 19-31 October. The MHT 1490 was first shown at ConExpo in Las vegas, USA, earlier this year.

The 32 m MRT 3255 was designed following increased requirements for easier to use machines more suitable for rental customers.

Denis Ruf, Manitou Group sales manager for France, said, "In a complex and volatile economic context, we lack visibility. Our presence at professional exhibitions of this type lets us directly talk to our clients and take the time to discuss their requirements for material handling solutions. The MRT 3255 is an innovative solution to their requirements."

Manitou is also committed to its Reduce programme. "We want to provide our customers with reliable, clear and transparent information on the real consumption data of our machines,” says Michel Denis, Manitou group chief executive.

This comparative information on the products goes beyond the communication that is usually made in the sector, which is based on data relative to reducing consumption. A Reduce app is available at reduce.manitou.com
