Indian manufacturer of electric overhead travelling (EOT) cranes ElectroMech plans to add a manufacturing facility to its operations in the UAE.

The company’s Dubai-based subsidiary, ElectroMech FZE, offers a range of own-brand EOT cranes, as well as hoists and cranes from its co-operation partner Stahl CraneSystems from Germany.

According to Tushar Mehendale, ElectroMech managing director, the firm has seen an uptake in product demand, thanks to new projects coming online and clients improving their capacity utilisation. Mehendale hopes that, with a dedicated manufacturing facility in the Middle East, ElectroMech will be in a better position to serve that market.

The new manufacturing facility is expected to come on line within the year, and will operate in addition to ElectroMech's Jebel Ali office.
