A 4-year-old New York girl was suffered minor injuries this week when she was struck by a scaffold board that fell during a scaffold dismantling Manhattan, NY.

Workers were removing scaffolding at 130 East 75th Street near Park Ave. when a 75-pound piece of wood planking fell from less than 10-feet and hit the girl. She walked away with minor cuts and bruises but no serious injuries.

The girl's mother, Rochelle Siskind, was taking her daughter to school at 8 a.m. when the accident occurred. Stay Secure Construction, the scaffold company, was issued a summons for not having flagmen on the sidewalk to direct pedestrians away from the site.
