A waste management company in Wales has ramped up the quality and speed of its recycled products after investing in a Terex Finlay 883+.

MD Recycling placed an order for the new plant with long-term supply partner Finlay Plant SW at this year’s Hillhead exhibition in the United Kingdom.

Marc Davies, director of MD Recycling, has since reported a significant improvement in the standard of soil and aggregate products processed by the machine, together with a much faster production rate.

He said: “The Terex Finlay 883+ has replaced an 883 screener and our clients have also noticed a difference since it arrived.

“The hourly production rate of the machine is considerably better and its ability to cope with wet conditions is amazing.”

The screener is processing green, mixed inert and builders’ waste, as well as construction and demolition material brought to the site by local authorities and building companies from across the country.

After being processed through the 883+, the soil and aggregates produced are sold on to farming and construction companies.

Designed to work after a primary crusher or on its own as a frontline tracked mobile screening machine, the Terex Finlay 883+ boasts an aggressive screen box which features both a 4.8 x 1.5 m (15 x 5 ft) top and bottom deck.

The screen box angle can be hydraulically adjusted to an angle between 13 and 19° while the screen box discharge end can be raised to 500 mm (19 in) to enable efficient and easy access and changing.

MD Recycling, which will also hire out the Terex Finlay 883+, has been working with Finlay Plant SW for the past 10 years.
