National Flooring adds UK distributor

US manufacturer National Flooring Equipment has appointed Multi Hire Power Tools as its newest UK distributor, in a bid to grow its presence in the market.

The company, which manufacturers surface preparation products such as grinders and shot blast equipment, has been operating in the US – its domestic market – for 50 years, and has now set its sights on strengthening its position in the UK market.

Multi Hire Power Tools, based in the north west of England, in Warrington, offers surface preparation equipment on hire from its depot. Its fleet includes floor planers, grinder, strippers and more.

Andy Harrison, managing director of Multi Hire Power Tools, said, “We always knew that National Flooring Equipment has a great reputation for manufacturing powerful and reliable machines; so impressive we’ve added several of them to our hire fleet and more are planned.

“Some of the machines we have used in the past have really struggled during difficult jobs. We have received great customer feedback about National’s machines because they usually succeed where others have given up.”

Meanwhile, Nick White, UK country manager at National Flooring Equipment, said, “National Flooring Equipment has been manufacturing bespoke surface preparation equipment for 50 years and we plan to bring our machines, expertise and customer service to help contractors in the UK.

“Working with local companies such as Multi Hire Power Tools has helped us show UK contractors the capabilities of our equipment.”
