2013 Awards judging panel revealed - largely the same faces

07 November 2012

The panel of industry experts who make up the judging panel that will assess the entries for the 2013 World Demolition Awards to be presented at the NH Grand Krasnaopolsky in Amsterdam on 31 October 2013 will remain largely unchanged from 2012.

Four members (Henrik Bonneson, Dan Costello, Bill Moore and John Woodward) have undertaken this challenging role from the very first event in 2009. and D&Ri thought that at least one or two might now want to relinguish their position and enjoy a rest. However, all four, plus Patrick Frye and Marcel Schroeder - who both undertook the role for the first time in 2012 - confirmed their willingness to continue at last week's World Demolition Summit in Amsterdam.

The only new face will result from changes of offcie bearer at the European Demolition Association, where current vice president Pilar de la Cruz Romera will replace Giuseppe Panseri as president. Giuseppe will therefore step down from the panel, to be replaced by incoming EDA vice president William Sinclair.

I would like to express our gratitude to Giuseppe for the time and effort he and his colleagues at Despe expended, especially as all entries are in English and that is one language that he does not speak or read.
