Carrier Rental Systems is to double its investment this year in new temperature control equipment for its European and Singapore businesses.

The investment is being made in a wide range of equipment, from small 20 kW Carrier chillers to 1200 kW units, which Carrier said were the biggest available to rent in Europe. The equipment being ordered also includes “substantial numbers” of size 50 air handling units, as well as size 15, 100, 150 and 450 air handlers.

Marc White, sales director for Carrier Rental Systems Ltd in the UK, said; “This is a really exciting time, with investment in equipment, improved processes and additional resources: we are going to grow the business, offer the best solutions for our customers and continue to give the most professional service.”

Earlier this year Carrier announced that it was establishing a Spanish temperature control rental business.

Carrier Rental Systems International runs Carrier’s rental activities outside of North America and is part of US-based Carrier Corp, one of the world’s largest manufacturers of heating, air conditioning and refrigeration equipment.
