Montabert has introduced the picBucket - a demolishing hydraulic bucket that, says the company, combines the power of a breaker with the manoeuvrability of a bucket.

The unit is suitable for carriers of 5.5 to 11 tonnes and was jointly developed by Montabert and PowerTech. According to the companies the new attachment can save up to 30% of the time it would take to carry out tough excavation, trenching or demolition operations with a standard bucket.

The PBK-05, as the attachment is known, requires an oil flow of 30 to 65 l/min. The 5-series is available in three widths; 30, 45 and 60 cm giving heaped bucket volumes of 190 l to 490 l. The hydraulic power cell generates a percussion frequency of 1300 blows per minute.
