Doosan to show E10e excavator and compressor at EHS

10 January 2022

Doosan Bobcat will showcase its E10e battery driven mini-excavator along with a new mini compressor at the Executive Hire Show (EHS), from 9 to10 February 2022 in Coventry, UK.

The Bobcat E10e electric mini-excavator is designed for indoor demolition.

Designed for indoor demolition, the Bobcat E10e electric mini-excavator, in the one tonne class, is also targeted at jobs where zero emission, low noise machines are required such as urban/city centre developments, night-time work and contracts in quiet zones.

The excavator was developed at the Bobcat EMEA Innovation Centre in the Czech Republic and is based on the design of the diesel powered E10z 1 tonne mini-excavator.

“The new E10e has the same ZTS profile and identical external dimensions as the standard E10z machine and offers equal or better performance,” the OEM said in a statement. “For example, the E10e offers very low noise levels on site with an LpA of only 72 dBA vs 80 dBA for the standard E10z.”

“Like the E10z, the E10e is easy to transport. In addition to the access provided by its retractable undercarriage reducing its width to only 710 mm, the integrated foldable TOPS (Tip Over Protective Structure) facilitates passage through openings with low headroom, for work inside buildings and in basements.

“Once the excavator is positioned for work, the undercarriage on the E10e can be expanded to 1100 mm, for maximum stability in all working conditions.”

The E10e and E10z are part of a range of mini-excavators from Bobcat covering models from 0.8 to 8.5 tonne, alongside a full line-up of skid-steer, compact track and all-wheel steer loaders, telehandlers, compact wheel and small articulated loaders and attachments.

Meanwhile the new 7/45 Compressor is one of four new small Stage V portable compressors launched by Doosan Portable Power at the end of 2021.

It offers free air deliveries from 2.5 to 5.0 m³/min (90-180 cfm) and is designed with a focus on simplicity, durability, reliability and transportability.

The 7/45 compressor provides 4.0 m³/min (140 cfm) of compressed air at 7 bar nominal pressure. It also comes with a range of options and customisations to meet customer needs. To demonstrate this, the 7/45 on the EHS stand will incorporate an optional 8.5 kVA generator and is aimed at the utilities industry and rental companies serving this sector.

The 7/45 on show also features a Tough Top (polymer) canopy, a standard feature on all the new small compressors. Newly integrated LED lights are also offered as standard for all the machines as well as environmentally important bunded bases. The long-standing metal canopy versions are still available to customers as an option.

Doosan Bobcat’s small compressor range includes three more 7 bar models, including the 7/20, 7/25 and 7/55, with outputs of 2.0, 2.5 and 5.0 m³/min (70, 90 and 180 cfm), respectively. A new 14/35 higher pressure model provides 3.0 m³/min (105 cfm) of compressed air at 13.8 bar.

EHS will take place at the Coventry Building Society Arena in Coventry, UK, from 9 to10 February 2022.
