As of 4 October, the road construction equipment division of Atlas Copco, branded Dynapac, is officially owned by French-based Fayat.

This move sees Fayat strengthening its strategic position in the road construction and maintenance segment. The agreement includes sales and services operations in 37 countries, production units in four countries – Sweden, Germany, Brazil and China – and a production partnership in India.

The Dynapac division will continue to produce rollers for asphalt and soil applications, pavers and planers, operating as an autonomous manufacturer under the Dynapac brand.

Jean-Claude Fayat, president of Fayat, said, “Dynapac has an excellent strategic place in our Group and we plan on growing and expanding its presence and product offering.”

Coinciding with the acquisition, Dynapac has revealed a new visual identity for its products, painted in red, white and grey.

The new colors were said to support the future image and spirit of the Dynapac brand, underlining the innovative character of its products.

At the same time, the brand has launched a new compact asphalt tandem roller, the CC1100-1200 generation VI, which is available in the new colour scheme.
