Hiab wins 40 crane order for UN project

Japanese trading company FutureBud International has ordered 40 loader cranes from Hiab.
The articulating cranes will be used on a United Nations-related project in developing countries.
All units in the €2 million order are the 8.2 tonne-metre rated XS 088 CLX model with standard lever control. They will be mounted on Japanese Mitsubishi Fuso trucks and delivered to Tanzania in the last quarter of 2017.
Commenting on the order, Toshiya Suzuki, director, Hiab business, Japan, said, “To our great delight, Cargotec Japan, as a locally incorporated company representing Hiab, received this order for 40 Hiab knuckle boom cranes from FutureBud International, in collaboration with Japanese truck manufacturer Fuso [Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation]. We are very happy to contribute to this United Nations project to assist developing countries in Africa.”
In Japan Hiab mainly sells cranes with grapples, forestry models, demountable systems, and tail lifts. The company said it is a leading player in the waste and scrap handling industry and the forestry market in Japan.
