Komatsu has introduced the new Stage IIIA HM250-2 articulated dump truck (ADT) to the European market.

The new 25 ton (24 tonne) HM250-2 completes the company's range of latest generation models, a spokesman for Komatsu said.

He added, "Based on the proven concept of the HM300-2, the HM250-2 features top travel speed and manoeuvrability, further improved by a shorter front clearance. The forced oil cooled multiple-disc brake system - a Komatsu exclusive on ADTs in this range - is a guarantee of excellent braking power and component durability."

Optimised combustion timing and ignition - and a specially designed combustion chamber - reduce fuel consumption, Oxides of Nitrogen/Hydrocarbon (NOx) and particulates emissions, as well as noise levels.

"First class comfort and safety on the HM250-2 are standard, as on all Komatsu machines," the spokesman said.

An air suspension seat, the hydro-pneumatic suspension and viscous cab mounts help maintain a comfortable, quiet and low-vibration working environment at all times, according to the company.

The HM250-2 is also fitted with Komtraxtm, Komatsu's satellite monitoring system.
