Swedish crane dealer Kranlyft Group has appointed Kanoo Cranes, part of The Kanoo Group, as an exclusive dealer for Maeda mini cranes in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain.

The Kanoo Group is one of the largest family-owned businesses operating in the Gulf Cooperation Council region. Kanoo Cranes was created to focus on providing engineered crane solutions to the oil, gas, construction and industrial markets.

The Kranlyft Group has represented mini cranes from Japanese manufacturer Maeda in Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East since the end of the 1990s. Although Kranlyft has broadened its machine portfolio to include additional brands, it said Maeda mini cranes remain its largest market.

With the appointment Kranlyft said it is looking to increase the penetration of Maeda products in the Gulf region. Kanoo Cranes will provide sales, parts and servicing.

Jurgen Vater, CEO of Kranlyft Group commented, “Kanoo Cranes has an excellent reputation and long history of entrepreneurial experience. These are very exciting times for us at Kranlyft Group and for the Maeda brand. When looking for a dealer to appoint for these important markets Kanoo Cranes becomes a natural partner with its extensive experience in the field of lifting, great technical knowledge and a well-established network reaching over various markets and industries. We feel very confident that this will be the start of a long and prosperous business relation together.”
