ERA calls on sector to take part in European Rental Week
14 July 2026
The European Rental Association is encouraging rental companies, national associations and industry stakeholders to take part in European Rental Week 2026, which will run from 12 to 18 October.
European Rental Week gives the sector a shared moment to talk about the role of rental in Europe. For equipment rental companies, it is also a practical opportunity to show customers, employees, future recruits and local stakeholders what rental brings to projects, businesses and communities every day.
This year’s campaign will focus on three areas: sustainability, people and skills, and the business value of rental. These themes reflect some of the most important conversations for the sector. Rental supports a more efficient use of equipment, helps customers access the right machines when they need them, and offers flexibility in a market where costs, availability and operational risks matter more than ever.
The week is also a chance to put the people working in rental at the centre of the story. From depot teams and drivers to technicians, sales teams, trainers and managers, rental depends on practical knowledge, service and close contact with customers. European Rental Week can help companies highlight these roles and present rental as a sector with real career opportunities.
Participation toolkit available
ERA has prepared a communication toolkit to make it easier for companies and associations to get involved. The materials include visuals, logos, posters and ready-to-use content that can be adapted for company channels, local activities or internal communications.
One of the campaign elements for 2026 is “Rental made it possible”, inviting companies to show rental in action and share examples of how equipment rental supports real projects. Companies and individuals are also encouraged to take part in the “Share your rental week” campaign by posting at least one activity on LinkedIn using #RentalWeek2026.
Activities do not need to be large or complex. They can include customer visits, site demonstrations, team activities, open days, school or training initiatives, local meetings, short videos or social media posts. What matters is showing the value of rental in a concrete way.
For ERA, European Rental Week is not only a communication campaign. It is a way to give more visibility to the sector, support national and company-level messages, and help the industry speak more clearly about its contribution to sustainability, employment and business performance.
Rental companies, national associations and ERA members are invited to use the toolkit, plan their activities and share their participation with ERA ahead of European Rental Week 2026.
