Canadian rental software company Orion Software has launched an integrated Service Management Module called SiriusSMM targeted at both rental and equipment servicing companies.

Orion said the launch was in response to a market change where more rental companies were offering servicing and more servicing companies were moving into rental.

Patrice Boivin, president and chief executive officer of Orion Software, said; “The merge of the two markets (rental and services) is happening fast as the end customers are demanding better quality of services and a turn-key solution where both are managed by the same provider.

“They also need a provider that can do the maintenance of their own assets and rent additional ones when they need them. It's a great tool for equipment outsourcing".

The new module is fully integrated to the existing SiriusPro rental solution, combining rental, sales and field services in the same invoices while managing employees, equipment maintenance and the transport routing.

"We made it seamless, simple and efficient for users facing customers while offering efficient tools to manage maintenance, employee scheduling, field services and transport routing", said Mr Boivin.

Meanwhile, Orion has also announced that its SiriusPro software now comes with integrated QuickBooks, the accounting software. Orion said the integration will simplify the management of accounts receivable and payables, and allow rental companies already using QuickBooks to easily integrate with SiriusPro.
