JLG's new 1230ES vertical mast boom has a 12–foot platform height, 500–pound platform capacity and will stow to a width of 2 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 5 inches. It weighs 1,740 pounds. The 1230, which is being built at JLG's facility in Tonneins, France, will compete directly with UpRight's TM12 product. JLG says the 1230 operates faster, has a more robust boom raising system (without chains and cables) and a longer duty cycle.
